My name is Carla Schain and I live and work in the Elko, Nevada area. I have always wanted to start my own business; I just never knew exactly what I wanted to do. At a very young age, I found myself straining against the yoke of the typical work week and having someone else to tell me what to do and when. I had a young family and was extremely tired of depriving them of my presence (missing school plays, picnics, softball, etc.).
It was not until after my youngest child was born and I discovered that numerous physicians’ offices had billed our two insurances incorrectly, (spending months, thousands of headaches and numerous phone calls) that I found myself wondering “Could this be something that I could do?”
I soon found myself enrolling in school to attain my Associates Degree in Medical Billing and Coding. My whole thought behind this venture was, “if I could save even one patient from suffering through the same types of things that I had, then I had done my job.” I was brought up with the belief that the customer is always right and that the customers' needs are of the utmost importance. I am 100%, committed to meeting those needs.
I guess I did not quite get over the need for more and more knowledge, as I am still in school and pursuing my Bachelor’s Degree, concentrating on Healthcare Administration. I offer numerous services that I tailor specifically to the needs of my clients (100% HIPAA compliant). I also have attained certification through the American Medcical Billing Association - CMRS, which is a certified medical reimbursement specialist. As with any profession, I will be continually seeking and expanding my knowledge.
